DSS Wins CTM Plus Contract from U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

The software solution will enhance care quality and improve operational efficiency.

JUNO BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, November 12, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ — Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS), a leading provider of health information technology (HIT) solutions for federal, private, and public healthcare organizations, announced that it has received an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide its Consult Tracking Manager (CTM) Plus software solution.

Managing patient consults within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a complex task requiring coordination across multiple systems, care teams, and regulatory frameworks. VA schedulers often encounter challenges due to fragmented data from various sources, making it difficult to track consults, ensure timely follow-ups, and determine whether care should be provided internally or through community partners. As a result, veteran care may be delayed, and some consults may be overlooked.

“Caregivers in the VHA often face heavy administrative burdens that divert their focus from patients to paperwork,” said Mark Byers, president and CEO of DSS, Inc. “This significant contract will help make CTM Plus accessible across the VA health care system, streamlining and automating the exchange of consult-related information. It will ensure priority consults are managed effectively, enhancing Veteran care and supporting providers in meeting key VA policies.”

The DSS CTM Plus web-based solution streamlines consult workflows by automatically advancing tasks as each step is completed, removing the need for paper-based or disconnected systems. By simplifying processes and reducing administrative workload, CTM Plus enables clinicians to focus more on patient care while ensuring consults are scheduled promptly and accurately. The same efficiencies extend to Return To Clinic (RTC) orders.

Through real-time, bidirectional integration with CPRS, CTM Plus offers multiple dashboards to manage both direct access and community care. Its tools seamlessly integrate with VistA and other VA systems, helping ensure Veterans receive timely communication, accurate scheduling, personalized care, and proper follow-up.

The CTM Plus Advanced Bundle provides additional dashboards and reporting features, giving VA staff deeper visibility and greater support as they manage increasing workloads with limited resources.

CTM Plus serves as a force multiplier for Veteran care—empowering Veterans Affairs Medical Centers to function as High Reliability Organizations (HROs) aligned with Value-Based Care (VBC) principles, while enhancing patient safety, care quality, and operational efficiency.
