Easy Ways to Get Naturally Clean Teeth

Do your yellow teeth bother you? Well, stained teeth not only look unclean but also reflect poor oral health. Before you look for remedial measures, it would be useful to understand what causes the yellowing of teeth. The grey or the yellow tinge you see could be formed due to many reasons including stains caused by food or smoking.

While there could be a plethora of causes behind yellowing, treating them differently may not be a viable solution. Instead of taking to measures such as chewing gum or mouth fresheners, you can look up sites such as TrySnow for suitable remedial options. Not only scientifically proven methods are the best ways to maintain dental health, but you can try out a few home remedies as well.

Making your home kit can save you big bucks, the hassle of appointments, and also the stress of the treatment’s durability.

Why do teeth appear unclean?

A common cause of yellow teeth could be its weakening or thinning enamel. As the protective layer, the enamel coats the teeth giving it its natural gloss. It also protects the latter from becoming overly sensitive. Wearing off the enamel is not considered good as it can endanger your tusks.

There are myriad ways of tooth cleansing. Visiting the dentist may help but that could be an expensive business. Here are some home remedies that can aid in protecting your teeth from turning yellow without any extra investment. Remember that just cleaning the tusks superficially is not enough to maintain its health. Along with your cleaning regimen, you may also need to take care of your diet to get those clean and white teeth.

DIY Remedies

Using baking soda and hydrogen peroxide

Add a touch of baking soda (also known as sodium bicarbonate) to your teeth. Yes, you heard that right! Baking soda has been known to carry cleansing properties and if you know its benefits, you might agree with this kitchen ingredient’s versatility. And this is one of the major ingredients that features in most mainstream toothpaste.

To use it separately, all you would need is to gently scrub your teeth with some baking powder smeared on a toothpaste. Other than the instant whitening that you might notice, this can prevent bacterial growth as well. And yes, this has to be done for at least a couple of weeks before you can mark any visible change.

Baking soda is often used with salt by many. Just add half a teaspoon of baking soda and salt and make a paste adding a little water to it. You can use your toothbrush to apply it on your tusk and gently brush as you do for a couple of minutes. These two ingredients complement each other to work as a good cleaning agent.

Now, that you’ve tried it with salt, you can add a tangy flavor to your tusk by blending sodium bicarbonate with lemon juice. Follow the same process as you do when using salt to brush your teeth with the paste and mark the difference over a period. It is the citric acid in the lemon that can work as a strong stain remover.

Lemon juice can also be used with water for rinsing the mouth for 2 minutes if you want to say goodbye to bacteria responsible for the oral cavity.

Another agent that can act as a natural bleach is hydrogen peroxide and can be used to kill the bacteria. Many also use this as a mouth wash. Hop over to this link to learn more about how safe it is to use hydrogen peroxide for the purpose.

Eating a nutritious diet

A diet that’s rich in vitamins is good for the body and your tusks as well. Even the action of chewing fruits and vegetables replenishes dental health.

Rather than frantically calling the dentist’s clinic for an appointment, you might want to rush to the local fruit market and buy pineapples and strawberries. Yes, you heard that right! These delicious fruits are also capable of whitening your teeth. Both strawberries and baking soda can be combined and used to get the dental whiteness you want.

High sugar consumption or eating food with high sugar concentration can also add to the dullness of your tusk. Although that doesn’t mean that you have to eliminate sugar from your diet, eating in moderation should be fine.

Make sure you have a calcium-rich diet as sometimes discoloration of your tusk could be caused by the erosion of its enamel, thus exposing the tooth potential risks.

Avoiding sugary drinks can prevent plaque formation and also prevent many kinds of dental complications. Tea, coffee, and even wine or any other soda-based drink can cause discoloration.

Of course, this doesn’t happen overnight but over time. Among the common causes of tooth discoloration is fluoride. If your tusk is exposed to this component repeatedly, then there are high chances of developing a yellowish coating on the teeth.

Increasing Calcium and Vitamin D in your diet is also a good way to strengthen your overall bone health. Read more on how to remineralize your tusk @ www.healthline.com/health/remineralizing-teeth.

The regularity of brushing and flossing

You must be familiar with the directive that brushing twice can prevent tooth decay and keep other oral diseases at bay. Brushing flushes all bacteria that can harm the tusk. But, just brushing may not be able to clean up all the build-up around the edges leading to plaque. This means that along with you must ensure a flossing routine.

Oil pulling

Oil pulling has been trending since sometimes although in some cultures it has been used as an age-old tradition of improving oral hygiene. Not just for the mouth, but oil pulling has been said to beneficial for the entire body. It is simple and can be done by anyone. The process involves rinsing the mouth with a favorable cold-pressed oil like coconut oil for about 15-20 minutes. It is said to remove plaque that grows around the teeth.

As research has it, oil pulling can eliminate bad bacteria and show whitening results in the shortest time. Other oils such as menthol, tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil are known to help eliminate bacteria in the mouth and keep your gums from getting infected easily. Many mouth wash and toothpaste companies use these are their product’s core ingredient as well.

Would you be shocked if we told you that turmeric powder works very well for teeth whitening? Are you thinking that the strong yellow tinge could stain your tusk? Well, the herbal properties of turmeric powder are also widely used to rinse off stains and help maintain good oral hygiene and health.

Activated charcoal

Regarded as a magical ingredient for tooth whitening, charcoal powder has emerged as a popular one in the market. You might have come across adverts that promote the use of charcoal tooth care products.

If you want to give this trick a go, just soil the toothbrush with a generous amount of charcoal powder and brush for a couple of minutes. You would have to be careful of not smearing your clothes with it as it could cause staining. This ingredient is known to deter plaque formation and work as a natural whitening element.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This one adds on to that consumable acid list that can be safely used for a brighter smile. Simple take a mouthful of the apple cider vinegar with some water and rinse your mouth well for 2-3 minutes.

Once done, dip your toothbrush in some more of the chosen vinegar and brush to eliminate stains. It is the acetic acid that has the ability to degenerate plaque and stubborn stains on your teeth. Check this out for more on different ways to remove plaque.

On that zesty note, let’s share that the acids in your orange peel could also aid in the whitening and cleaning process. However, if you are using this medium, then make sure to brush after its use.

Following good oral care habits and using mild and natural products can be considered safe although it could test your patience initially. Teeth health is not just about the tusk but its roots as well. So, you need to take equal care of your gums.

If you are struggling with a dry mouth, Xylitol can boost the secretion of saliva in the mouth and as a natural disinfectant, this can limit forms of tooth decay. Xylitol can be purchased in the form of chewing gum or pastille.

If you spot unusual staining, cavities, or sensation in your teeth, then it would be best to consult a dentist at the earliest. Taking good care of your tasks is the best way to keep them clean and white.
