Ophthalmology Lecture Review Course is organized by The Osler Institute and will be held from Aug 31 – Sep 05, 2019 at Holiday Inn Chicago North Shore (Skokie), Skokie, Illinois, United States of America.
Designation:
The Osler Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 60 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Course Description:
This comprehensive review is designed to help you pass your written exams and to update your clinical knowledge base; it is especially useful to Ophthalmology residents taking their WQE as well as practicing physicians preparing to take the cognitive DOCK exam or to complete the Quarterly Question Module in lieu of the DOCK Core Knowledge Module. This 6-day seminar course includes didactic lectures, e-syllabus (containing all PowerPoint® presentations), and embedded Q&A examples for each topic.
Emphasis is on evidence-based practice and board-relevant standards of care, incorporating new concepts and testing strategies including an extensive review of optics and refraction, ophthalmic imaging, and newer approaches to ophthalmic surgery. Many of our previous participants found the course provided them with improved diagnostic and evaluation skills and helped them recognize specific areas of weakness for further self-study.
