NavisHealth Solutions, Inc., a Silicon Valley healthcare information technology company, announced today its appointment of Jon Mello as Chief Operating Officer. Mello will be working closely with the leadership team and will be responsible for the execution of the company’s growth and strategic plan.
Concurrently, the company announced the completion of a rebranding effort to NavisHealth from Versaworks, which reflects its commitment to facilitating engagement strategies and clear communication between patients and healthcare professionals through mobile health technology. NavisHealth offers a companion Electronic Health Record (EHR) certified for Meaningful Use (MU)–Patient Engagement to hospitals and physician practices and a mobile patient portal app to patients. This patient engagement system easily connects to inpatient and outpatient EHR’s giving patients the tools they need to be more involved, engaged and empowered in their own healthcare.

Mello also served as the Healthcare Executive representing EMC Solutions at EMC Corporation for 12 years. He bridged the EMC portfolio of healthcare infrastructure solutions created through a coalition with VMware, Cisco, and EMC. Earlier in his career, Mello held hospital administrative appointments at several Harvard Teaching Hospitals in Boston.
He served on the Foundation Board and Board of Trustees of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and was the Treasurer and a Board Officer for the New England HIMSS organization.
