HealthMEDX CEO to Highlight IT Role at NextGen Health Care Symposium

healthmedx

Leaders in the long-term care sector will gather this week at the NextGen® Health Care Symposium hosted by Mainstreet®. The 2-day event includes round-table, educational, peer-to-peer and hands-on workshop sessions designed to facilitate innovative strategies for improving transitional care between healthcare providers across the long-term and post-acute spectrum.

Carmel, Indiana (PRWEB) March 16, 2015

Indianapolis, IN – Leaders from across the senior healthcare industry will gather in Indianapolis this week to discuss Transitional Care Delivery and Care Coordination in the long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) sectors. The “Who’s Who” group of executives, strategists and researchers will collaborate across multiple mediums during the two-day NextGen® Health Care Symposium, which is hosted by Carmel, Indiana-based Mainstreet®.

The hands-on curriculum includes workshops and peer-to-peer sessions designed to help map a collective course to high-quality, coordinated care for our nation’s aging population. Providers across the senior spectrum are recognizing the need to adopt a more patient-centric approach in order to effectively manage care for a 65+ population that will have increased 30 percent by the end of this decade.

Conference host Mainstreet is an investment firm that develops, finances and jointly operates best-in-class health care properties. As a vested partner in the care process across their properties, founder and CEO Zeke Turner says he hopes the conference will result in true collaborative solutions to support his company’s mission of transforming lives by changing the ways healthcare is delivered.

“The health care landscape is rapidly changing,” Turner said. “Between the desires of aging Americans and today’s heavy focus on efficiency, lower costs and better outcomes for consumers, transitional care is emerging as a very real need. Mainstreet has long been a champion of transitional care and we’re pleased to bring our colleagues together to focus on what we believe is the coming wave of health care.”

Pam Pure, CEO of software developer HealthMEDX®, is a scheduled conference presenter and expert on enterprise adoption of electronic medical record software in the LTPAC sector. She believes that physician engagement, medication management and integration of home care services will be the defining points of success – or failure – for providers in this corner of the healthcare industry.

“Looking forward, we believe that technology will seamlessly connect patient information and allow providers to manage patient care across multiple, complex settings,” Pure said. “Quality metrics consistently improve when physicians have full access and immediate review of patient records – including relevant acute care, physician office and LTPAC provider data. Design of that interoperability platform and the physician tools for critical decision-making are top priorities for HealthMEDX.”
