InterSystems enhances workflow: TrakCare Assistant introduced

InterSystems, a dynamic data technology provider committed to addressing critical scalability, interoperability, and speed challenges, has announced the launch of TrakCare Assistant. This interactive navigation tool is designed for the TrakCare® unified electronic medical record (EMR) system, offering a transformative experience for clinicians and users.

TrakCare Assistant introduces a search-based function, allowing users to swiftly surface relevant patient information or perform actions such as reviewing test results. By entering text queries, clinicians can bypass traditional system menus, enhancing productivity, reducing manual interactions, and expediting time to care.

Internal tests conducted by InterSystems clinicians indicate that TrakCare Assistant significantly reduces the time required to access information and complete tasks, up to 66% in typical physician workflows. This time-saving approach empowers clinicians to allocate more time to direct patient interactions.

Dr. Rami Riman, Director of Clinical and Business Improvements for InterSystems, emphasizes the impact on care delivery time, stating that TrakCare Assistant streamlines EMR interaction and learns user patterns over time. This personalized workflow innovation, particularly valuable in critical care units, promises substantial cumulative time savings and improved user satisfaction.

Dimitri Fane, Head of TrakCare Strategy and Operations at InterSystems, underscores the importance of accelerated time-to-care through faster access to patient information. The search-based interaction, with simple requests like ‘patient medications,’ not only saves time but also reduces frustration and potential burnout.

TrakCare Assistant’s flexibility is further demonstrated through support for third-party extensions such as voice-to-text, thanks to TrakCare’s application programming interfaces (APIs) and interoperability options.

The availability of TrakCare Assistant is immediate, accessible through the TrakCare Mobile Enabled User Interface. Current TrakCare users with continuous update support can activate this navigation tool seamlessly by enabling a button in their configuration toolkit.
