Dr. Farrell hired two part-time nurses to assist him.  He stayed a solo practitioner until 1996 when his son, Dr. John Farrell Jr. (everyone calls him “Dr. John”) joined his Dad in practice. A couple of years later Dad retired and turned over his practice to Dr. John.  Then Dr. John became a solo practitioner with his Dad’s two part-time nurses.

Being a solo practitioner with the long hours and call every night was not the life for him. So in 1998 he hired a business manager, Manny Oliverez.  Together they started to make things happen. Soon a new physician was added, and then another, and another.  Then a new office and before you knew it,  the practice exploded and Dr. John had 13 doctors in two locations providing quality healthcare to thousands of patients per month.

Our medical practice’s success did not go unnoticed for long. In 2004 another medical practice that had problems paying their bills and meeting payroll contacted us for help. We took the medical billing methods and business practices we had developed, applied them to their practice, and took over their medical billing. Within six months we were successful in turning them around.

Today that practice has increased revenue by over 300%, was able to upgrade and buy new medical equipment, attract and pay quality staff, and now all their doctors receive bonuses. Dr. John and Manny thought it would be a good idea to help other medical practices that may be struggling and having problems with their medical billing so they spun off the practice’s medical billing and administration department and formed Capture Billing and Consulting, Inc.

Capture Billing now assists scores of physicians in several different specialties by providing medical billing services and practice management advice.
