CMHC, Inc. is a practitioner owned comprehensive community mental health center affiliated with a public hospital (Bates County Memorial Hospital) and related primary care clinics.  The two organizations are moving toward a model of Integrated Care as encouraged in the Accountable Care Act and federal rules and legislation.  Our systems work seamlessly with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and active and regular communication between behavioral health, substance abuse, and primary care staff in multidisciplinary team treatment models.  Dr. Morris, The Clinical Director of CMHC, Inc. sits as a member of the medical staff of the hospital and primary care system and facilitates communication and collaboration at all levels of the system.

The system provides comprehensive assessments of physical and mental health needs across multiple sites in Bates, Cass, and Vernon counties.  We provide hospital, day treatment, physical and occupational therapy and rehabilitation, medication management, outpatient psychotherapy, comprehensive substance abuse services, outpatient physical healthcare, emergency services, transportation services, and screening and transfer to other facilities.

CMHC, Inc. is a comprehensive mental health and substance abuse set of treatment facilities founded in 1978 by Drs. Jerry Morris and Roger Wise, graduate school friends who have dedicated their careers to the amelioration of mental disorders and the behavioral aspects of physical illness.

CMHC, Inc., a comprehensive community mental health center is a good place for training residencies, to work as a Behavioral Health Specialist (counselor, social worker, psychologist, psychiatric nurse, substance abuse counselor, peer specilist, marital and family therapyist).
