Healthcare Hospitals

Ivinson Memorial Hospital

Faus is currently the interim Chief Operating Officer of Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. Over the course of his career, Faus has served various healthcare organizations, progressing from an administrator of a critical access hospital in Montana to Chief Executive Officer at the Estes Park Medical Center before joining the former Poudre Valley Health System to lead major components of the opening of Medical Center of the Rockies as the Chief Operating Officer.
His accomplishments include leading process improvement efforts that generated over $20 million in savings and net revenue gains, participating in efforts that resulted in the highly coveted Baldrige National Quality Award and the Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence Award, leading a $20 million major hospital addition and remodel, and the successful creation of a physician group aligning physician and hospital interests.
Faus holds a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Healthcare Administration. He is Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. In addition to his community service, he enjoys spending time with his family and a variety of outdoor activities.
Faus replaces Carol Dozier who relocated to King’s Daughters’ Health in Madison, Indiana.

Trustees agreed Faus has “a proven track record in hospital operations and development and has dedicated his entire professional career to working and serving rural communities.”

“Ivinson Memorial Hospital has made a great deal of progress financially over the last six years and has a solid foundation and bright future. The board and hiring committee are confident that Doug Faus’s experience and visionary leadership will allow the hospital to overcome challenges and leverage opportunities as we navigate healthcare reform,” said Dona Coffey, IMH board chairman. “Our physician partners, staff, administration, managers and community members interviewed Faus, which made him eager to become a part of our team.”
