Healthcare Hospitals

Norwalk Community Hospital

Norwalk Hospital is a 328-bed, not-for-profit, acute care community teaching hospital that serves a population of 250,000 in lower Fairfield County, Connecticut. Our community is our extended family, and our compassion is everyday. We treat all who seek our care with deserved respect; and as a teaching hospital, we nurture and educate the medical professionals of tomorrow. Our compassion compels us to pursue and offer multidisciplinary expertise. We have more than 500 physicians on our active medical staff, many of whom trained at the nation’s leading medical schools and hospitals, and 2,000 dedicated health professionals and support personnel.

Norwalk Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, is accredited as a Stroke Center and certified to provide Emergency Angioplasty for heart attack. If you are facing a life-threatening medical emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately to get the fastest, most effective care. Norwalk Hospital’s new Bauer Emergency Care Center is located on Maple Street, next to the main Entrance. Pull right up to the door.

Through a pioneering collaboration with the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), Norwalk Hospital’s C. Anthony and Jean Whittingham Cancer Center is taking its respected cancer program to an even higher level. Now, Memorial Sloan Kettering medical and radiation oncologists are onsite at Norwalk Hospital – leading and delivering team-based care alongside Norwalk Hospital’s own cancer experts. It’s a powerful collaboration that offers both advanced science and highly personalized care. And, for patients, that adds up to more than a fighting chance.
