At Omega Hospital, we remember healthcare as it used to be. There was a time when healthcare wasn’t considered an “industry,” when patients didn’t feel so overwhelmed by bureaucracy and red tape.
That’s why at Omega Hospital we’ve chosen to remain small and focused. To us, less is more. Typical medical centers have 200 beds. Omega has only 16. Instead of operating dozens of departments, we choose to focus on a range of specialized surgical procedures.
The comforting atmosphere of Omega Hospital contributes to patients’ healing. Consider us a luxury hospital. Each nurse attends to only two patients. All rooms are private and they feature the amenities of a high-end hotel, such as flat-screen TVs, a mini-bar, and a microwave. A Murphy bed is available in each room for a loved one spending the night. Any surgery is worrisome enough, after all, and patients’ concerns tend to get lost in larger healthcare centers. Omega Hospital creates a relaxing, low-key environment in which patients can focus on getting well.
We first devised our spa-like ambience to appeal to women, since Omega Hospital’s original focus was on gynecological surgeries. Today, one wing of our facility is a dedicated breast surgery center, and our surgeons continually break new ground in the field. We also offer a suite of other surgeries, including orthopedic, bariatric, neurosurgery, hand and more[HA1] . Still, we don’t try to be all things to all people. We stay focused on our strengths. Many of our patients fly in from out of town for our specialized procedures.

Many of our patients fly in from out of town for our specialized procedures. We accommodate out of town patients as well as Louisiana residents.
