R&D Scientist and Engineer Cornelis J. Drost founded Transonic Systems Inc. in 1983 after inventing the transit time flowmeter – the first ever to measure volume flow in vessels- while working as a Senior Research Scientist at Cornell Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine. Transonic quickly became the Gold Standard in flow measurement technology due to its unique and reliable measurements and became a benchmark measurement tool for researchers worldwide. As the company progressed, new innovations were added continually in the fields of Hemodialysis, Critical Care, Surgery, ECMO, and OEM.
