Michigan PEO Acqires IT Staffing & EHR Firms

it staffing

AccessPoint, a Michigan-based professional employer organization, acquired Preferred Solutions, a 22-year-old information technology staffing, training and consulting firm. The transaction adds to AccessPoint’s market presence in the areas of electronic health records implementation and healthcare information technology staffing and consulting.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Preferred Solutions will operate independently within AccessPoint IT staffing.

“Our complementary market reaches make this a natural combination,” said AccessPoint CEO Greg Packer. “It will be a smooth and rapid operational consolidation given the business cultures, character and tight-knit leadership groups of each entity. We have long-respected Preferred Solutions for its industry reputation for innovation and outstanding client service.”

Preferred Solutions will continue to be led by its existing executive and operations teams, which include Marie Seipenko, president and CEO of the company since 2002. All eight full-time employees will join AccessPoint.

“We are excited to be joining the AccessPoint business family,” Seipenko said. “Preferred Solutions will benefit greatly from AccessPoint’s market presence and identity, and their outstanding administrative and technical infrastructure.”
