Thyme Care Secures $97M Funding from CVS Health Ventures and Humana

Cancer care navigation startup Thyme Care announced Thursday that it has raised $97 million in a Series D funding round.

Thyme Care, a Nashville-based company specializing in value-based cancer care navigation, has secured $97 million in Series D funding, bringing its total capital raised to $275 million. The investment round was led by existing investors including CVS Health Ventures, Foresite Capital, a16z Bio + Health, Concord Health Partners, Town Hall Ventures, AlleyCorp, and Frist Cressey Ventures. New strategic investors such as Morgan Health, Humana, Texas Oncology, and Memorial Hermann Health System also participated, elevating Thyme Care’s valuation to over $1 billion

Founded in 2020, Thyme Care aims to address the complexities of cancer care by providing integrated navigation services that reduce administrative burdens, support value-based drug choices, and enhance clinical collaboration. The company partners with over 1,000 oncologists nationwide and has expanded its reach to 8 million people, managing more than $5 billion in oncology spending

The recent funding will enable Thyme Care to scale its AI-powered infrastructure, focusing on areas such as treatment denials, high drug costs, and delayed access to care. The company plans to enhance its technology platform, develop member-facing applications, and expand partnerships with national and local health plans

Humana’s collaboration with Thyme Care, initiated in February 2025, provides eligible Medicare Advantage members in select states with 24/7 virtual care navigation, data-driven insights, and access to a dedicated care team. This partnership aims to minimize care gaps, reduce unnecessary expenditures, and support patients in managing the complexities of cancer care

Thyme Care’s integrated approach, combining technology, data analytics, and personalized support, positions it as a leader in transforming cancer care delivery. The company’s model aligns incentives across the oncology ecosystem, including payers, providers, and employers, to improve patient outcomes and reduce overall healthcare costs.
