Liaison’s Health Data Management™ platform and EMR-Link™ solutions will give providers, hospitals and health systems operating throughout Georgia, access to patient information

Liaison Technologies, a global data management and integration company, announced today that its healthcare solutions will power Georgia Health Connect (GaHC), a health information network providing integrative technology and clinical support services for practices, hospitals and health systems throughout the state of Georgia. Currently engaged with pilot providers, GaHC will be generally available in December 2014.

Liaison’s Health Data Management (HDM) platform and EMR-Link solution will power GaHC, providing the network’s members with the following critical capabilities:

  • Electronic access to aggregated patient information. Liaison HDM includes a patient data repository that aggregates patient information across all GaHC providers. Accessible via a web portal, the patient data repository stores comprehensive patient medical history such as allergies, medications, problems procedures, lab results, radiology reports and other types of information that are crucial to providing continuum of care.
  • Lab and radiology connectivity. Liaison EMR-Link integrates lab and radiology orders and results with a practice’s EHR system. For practices without EHR systems, lab and radiology information is made available via a web portal. Through automated compliance checking and order routing, EMR-Link eliminates many of the errors that cause patient callbacks and reimbursement challenges.
  • Connection to the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN). Liaison HDM connects GaHC to GaHIN, the statewide health information exchange (HIE) that ultimately connects patient health information throughout Georgia with the rest of the nation. Liaison HDM bi-directionally integrates data between the two networks to ensure GaHC patient data is available statewide and nationwide—and vice-versa.

“Liaison’s partnership has been invaluable to our mission,” said Dr. Dominic Mack, Executive Medical Director for GA-HITEC, Georgia’s Regional Extension Center launching GaHC. “Innovative healthcare integration solutions like Liaison’s are driving improvements in the quality of care. When providers have access to patients’ comprehensive medical histories at the point of care, treatment errors are dramatically reduced and the quality of healthcare can be vastly improved.”

“With Liaison’s expertise in cloud-based healthcare integration and data management, providers that previously could not share information because of technical and financial barriers are now able to take the leap into connected health,” said Gary Palgon, VP Healthcare Solutions at Liaison Technologies. “We’re happy to partner with Georgia Health Connect to enhance healthcare throughout the state of Georgia.”
