Buffalo, NY, Sept. 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ABEL Medical Software Inc. is  pleased to announce that ABELMed EHR-EMR/PM version 12 has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition Complete EHR certification, which designates that the software is capable of supporting eligible providers with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). ABELMed EHR-EMR/PM version 12 was certified on September 5, 2014 by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) and is compliant in accordance with applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

“Our team is proud to add this latest certification achievement to our software, supporting both Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2 measures,” said Arun Rele, chairman and CEO, ABEL Medical Software Inc. “We are fully on board with the Federal Government’s mandate to improve clinical care through the adoption and effective use of EHRs. To that end, we will continue to deliver certified, user-friendly solutions that help physicians document and demonstrate Meaningful Use quickly and with minimal effort.”

ABELMed EHR-EMR/PM v12.15 has demonstrated the functionality to help eligible providers comply with Meaningful Use Stage 2 as required to qualify for payments available under the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs. This functionality benefits both physicians and patients by supporting improved quality and safety of patient care, and improved coordination of care.

ABELMed EHR-EMR/PM version 12’s certification number is 140240R00. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

ABELMed EHR-EMR/PM v12.15 is certified for the following Clinical Quality Measures: CMS50, CMS68, CMS69, CMS126, CMS138, CMS146, CMS154, CMS155, and CMS156.

The additional types of costs that an Eligible Provider would pay to implement this Complete EHR’s capabilities in order to attempt to meet meaningful use objectives and measures include: One time license acquisition fee, monthly maintenance charges, charges for any additional modules or custom development.
