United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals appoints EPR provider

EMR Industry
  • United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals has committed to a 10-year EPR contract with Nervecentre.
  • Deployment is expected to start in September 2025.
  • Joining this system will connect the trust to a network of acute trusts, promoting closer collaboration.

United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has entered into a contract with Nervecentre to implement an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, marking a significant step toward fully digitising patient health records.

The agreement will see a new EPR rolled out across all of the trust’s acute hospitals, with implementation expected to begin in September 2025.

Designed to give clinicians secure, real-time access to patient information at the point of care, the cloud-based system is set to accelerate the sharing of data across departments, wards, and hospital sites. This will enhance accessibility for staff, patients, and healthcare professionals throughout the Lincolnshire care system.

The 10-year contract follows a competitive procurement process and is supported by funding allocated by NHS England in May 2025. NHS England is investing £1.9 billion to help NHS trusts achieve essential levels of digital maturity and deploy EPR systems, ensuring that health and care teams have timely access to critical information.

United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals will join a growing regional network of acute trusts using Nervecentre’s platform, including Northampton General Hospital, which went live with the system in late June 2025. This collaborative approach will enable secure data sharing among hospitals while respecting local record-sharing arrangements.

Elsewhere, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust signed its own 10-year contract with Nervecentre, starting rollout in May 2025. Most recently, Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust named Nervecentre as its preferred supplier for an EPR at the end of June.
