Former Apree Health CEO and Cerner President to Drive Veradigm’s Next Growth Phase
CHICAGO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Aug. 18, 2025 — Veradigm® (OTCMKTS: MDRX), a leading healthcare data and technology solutions provider, announced the appointment of Don Trigg as its new Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective September 2, 2025.
Trigg brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare technology. He most recently served as CEO of Apree Health, which was acquired by Elevance Health in 2024. Under his leadership, Apree delivered innovative advanced primary care solutions, digital engagement tools, and technology support for independent primary care practices. The company’s whole health model achieved high patient satisfaction, top-tier performance on key quality measures, and meaningful reductions in total cost of care—reinforcing Trigg’s belief in the power of data and technology to support high-quality provider practices.
Previously, Trigg held multiple senior roles at Cerner Corporation between 2003–2010 and 2013–2021, ultimately serving as President. In that role, he was responsible for Cerner’s entire portfolio, including its core electronic medical record (EMR), revenue cycle, and strategic growth businesses such as life sciences and data. Trigg also led Cerner’s expansion into new markets, modernized legacy platforms, scaled global development teams, and launched the company’s government practice.
