Zoeticx Provides Indiana’s Good Samaritan with One of the Most Interoperable Systems in Healthcare for Managing WellTrackONE’s Annual Wellness Visits
Hospital Anticipates Substantial Revenue Increase While Containing IT integration Costs
December 1, 2015—Good Samaritan, a 232-bed community health-care facility located in Indiana has selected healthcare record integrator Zoeticx, Inc. to integrate WellTrackONE Corp.’s Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) patient reports with the hospital’s Allscripts EHR system and Indiana’s Health Information Exchange (IHIE).
The implementation will allow providers to easily integrate WellTrackONE’s AWV reports without using any time consuming manual processes, enabling Good Samaritan to better deliver on its commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The system will also enable the hospital to substantially increase its revenue while containing healthcare system integration costs.

Manual Process Cumbersome
Before the integration, the hospital had all of the WellTrackONE data held in its Allscripts EHRs, but no way to integrate the two, let alone achieve that integration with IHIE, the largest HIE in the US, serving 30,000 physicians in 90 hospitals serving six million patients in 17 states. The hospital’s medical teams were constrained by interoperability, having to enter new illness findings and other medical info manually and fax PDFs to other facilities where they would have to again be entered into a different system. Providers were also spending valuable patient face time trying to find specific patient data buried in the EHR system.
WellTrackONE gathers and analyzes 280 patient data points, identifying potential catastrophic and chronic medical conditions. These points are placed into patient reports that can now be “pushed” into other hospital EHRs with Zoeticx’s Patient-Clarity server platform while also automatically updating the IHIE. The platform uses a powerful data switch driven by a middleware Application Program Interface (API) that translates the information. The integration also enables the hospital to enhance its MU2 and MU3 compliance.
Revenue Generator for Hospitals
Zoeticx and WellTrackONE meet stringent requirements from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that enables medical facilities to receive reimbursements for each patient visit. While individual states and regions have varied reimbursement rates, medical facilities will benefit from this newCMS AWV revenue along with decreased IT costs.
Another revenue benefit for facilities and providers is WellTrackONE’s clinical triggers in the patient’s data that provide medically necessary information for follow up visits, lab and other testing as well as referrals of the patient to specialists, ensuring the patient is obtaining the best possible care to minimize the risk of costly catastrophic events. Approximately two-thirds of the Medicare patients are flagged by the AWV for testing, imaging and specialty referrals within the hospital.
These additional referrals bring hospitals an average of about $500 yearly per patient. Subscribers are expected to trend upwards into 2050, bringing billions in new healthcare revenue through the US as the population ages and also benefit from the reports which are available to them and participating facilities, providing a much higher level of continuity of patient care.
