Dec 3 : Airstrip Partnership Will Link Mobile Medical Apps

electronic records

By  Mike W. Thomas ,

Medical technology company AirStrip is partnering with Ascom Wireless Solutions to link their clinical mobile device applications to allow for faster access to live patient data.

As a result of the partnership, a nurse or doctor receives a patient monitor alarm message on their Ascom Unite Axess smartphone app, they will be able to navigate with a single button to see real-time waveform streaming of critical patient data via the Airstrip One application.

San Antonio-based Airstrip is a developer of interoperable mobile healthcare applications and wireless devices that provide medical professionals access to critical patient data. Ascom, based in Sweden, is a leading provider of on-site wireless communications for key segments of the medical industry. The partnership between the two companies will eliminate the need to navigate from one app into another.

“The partnership between Ascom and AirStrip will further streamline the delivery of clinical information at the moment of care,” said AirStrip President Matt Patterson, MD. “This will enable faster and more informed decision-making in ways that can improve patient outcomes.”
