Lawrence General Hospital Goes LIVE with MEDITECH Expanse

Building on MEDITECH’s industry-leading market share in Massachusetts, Lawrence General Hospital recently went LIVE with Expanse, the company’s fully integrated web-based Enterprise Health Record (EHR). The regional hospital chose the interoperable Expanse platform following a competitive selection process.

The partnership with Lawrence General marks MEDITECH’s continued growth in its home state of Massachusetts. The company has a 60% acute care market share in the state and Lawrence General represents many significant milestones for a Massachusetts MEDITECH organization, including the first to go LIVE with Expanse Point of Care, Ambulatory, ED, Acute, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) integration.

MEDITECH physicians and executives worked closely with Lawrence General throughout the process and were on-site during the go-LIVE to ensure a successful implementation.

Lawrence General is a private, non-profit community hospital providing the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire regions with patient-centered, compassionate, and quality health care for the whole family. The facility serves nearly 325,000 patients annually.

Expanse continues to make its mark in Massachusetts. Several other healthcare organizations across the state have recently decided to move forward with Expanse including Signature Healthcare, Berkshire Health Systems, and the Massachusetts Health Collaborative (MHC), a consortium of local community hospitals: Harrington Healthcare, Holyoke Medical Center, and Heywood Healthcare.
