Allowances may be made under the Patients First Task Force Consent Decrees for Highmark commercial members to see UPMC physicians at in-network rates for cancer-related, continuity of care and/or safety net services. In addition, UPMC physicians will be in-network when providing services at facilities that are otherwise in the Highmark network such as UPMC Mercy, UPMC joint ventures and independent community hospitals. Medicaid and CHIP patients are not affected.
